If you need to surrender a bird, you must first contact us by email to share your story and help us understand your need to place your bird elsewhere. We will then email or call you to talk with you about your options.

Should you ultimately decide to surrender your parrot to us at A Place to Land (and should we agree to accept the placement of your bird) we will expect a donation towards the lifetime care of the bird being surrendered. Please understand that each bird that comes into our care costs us a significant amount of money for lifetime veterinary care, food, and proper shelter and environment. We also invest a huge amount of our personal time into caring for each and every bird, keeping everything clean and giving them all personal daily attention.
